Subcritical Water Process for Reducing Sugar Production from Biomass: Optimization and Kinetics
نویسندگان
چکیده
The competitive reactions of lignocellulose hydrolysis and monosaccharide degradation in the subcritical water (SCW) coconut husk were investigated to optimize reducing sugar yield. Optimization analysis was performed by response surface methodology (RSM) kinetics studies. Parameters process optimization varied at 130-170 °C for 15-45 min. sugars measured using Dinitro salicylic acid method. yield increased when temperature from 130 170 °C. highest reduction 4.946 g/L obtained 183.6 4.8 min 23.4 liquid/solid ratio (LSR). Kinetics studies carried out variations 150, 170, 190 pressures 60, 80, 100 bar 5 60 decreased with increasing temperature. kinetic model 2B is best method explain reaction hydrolysis. This research an innovation increase make more commercially viable. Pretreatment optimization methods for increased sugar yields from biomass pyrolysis
In the search for a renewable energy source that could replace petroleum and other nonrenewable energy sources, pyrolysis of biomass is a hopeful alternative and pretreatment could further improve its potential. There are several possible routes for pretreating lignocellulosic biomass, but many need further refining before becoming economical. The main obstacle for the conversion of biomass to ...
متن کاملSubcritical Water Hydrolysis Treatment of Waste Biomass for Nutrient Extraction
Nutrients were extracted from corn stalks, peanut shells, de-oiled peanut meal, chicken manure, and sewage sludge by a subcritical water (SCW) hydrolysis reaction. Compared with the other feedstock, the aqueous phases extracted from de-oiled peanut meal showed the highest watersoluble organic carbon, amino acid, total nitrogen, and phosphorus contents. The effects of solution pH, final hydrothe...
متن کاملCo-liquefaction of microalgae and lignocellulosic biomass in subcritical water.
This study investigated co-liquefaction of microalgae (Chlorella pyrenoidosa, CP) and lignocellulosic biomass (Rice husk, RH) in subcritical water for bio-oil production. The effects of liquefaction temperature (200-350°C), residence time (10-90min), solid concentration (10-30wt.%) and mass ratio of CP/RH on product distribution were investigated. The results showed that the highest yield of bi...
متن کاملOptimization of Process Conditions for Subcritical Water Hydrolysis of Sugarcane Bagasse
Optimization of operation conditions (temperature, time, solvent: solid proportion) of subcritical water hydrolysis (SWH) is needed so that it can be considered an effective process for second generation bioethanol manufacturing. The objective of this study was to optimize operation conditions using a semi-batch SWH system equipped with a 50 mL reaction vessel. Initially, the process was carrie...
